The Human Calculator®, Scott Flansburg, is launching a new event called the The Counting Bee™. Listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the ‘fastest human calculator’ for over 20 years, Scott is dedicated to helping both students and adults overcome their fears related to numbers and arithmetic. He believes everyone has the ability to do mental math and is on a mission to help everyone feel comfortable and confident with numbers in everyday life!
Scott performs at schools around the world giving students and teachers a positive experience with numbers, arithmetic, and mental math. Scott has served as the Global Patron of World Maths Day and as the Chairman of the 2016 Zappos Memoriad Olympics for mental math, memory, and speed reading. His TV appearances include Oprah, Ellen, Stan Lee’s Superhumans, Extraordinary Humans, all of the major network’s news shows and many more. He also hosts his own TV show on The History Channel International called The Human Calculator.

Because Numeracy is as important as Literacy! A Counting Bee is a fast-paced and exciting competition in which contestants are asked to calculate a broad selection of skip-counting patterns with a varying degree of difficulty.
What does The Counting Bee™ accomplish?
The Counting Bee™ is an annual STEM/STEAM competition open for K-12 mathletes at all public, private, charter, and home schools. The Bee also has divisions for teachers, sponsors, and celebrities.
